Where is silver found?
Silver was discovered and used in ancient and prehistoric times. Silver was most likely one of the first five metals used by humans. The exact time when silver was discovered is unknown to scientists, and who discovered the element is also unknown. Silver is found in the ores of copper, lead, and zinc. It is also found in small quantities in seawater. Silver is also the 68th most abundant element in the earth’s crust. Now, silver is mined, mainly for industrial purposes, such as in construction to coat certain types of glass for insulation and is also used in electrical circuits.
