An isotope is a variation of an atom. Isotopes are atoms of the same element with a different mass number. The two isotopes that silver can make are Ag-107, and Ag-109. This means that silver can be found with a mass number of 107, or 109. The relative abundance, or how common each isotope is, different for Ag-107, and Ag-109. For Ag-107, the relative abundance is 51.839%, which can be rounded to 52%, and for Ag-109, the relative abundance is 48.161%, which can be rounded to 48%. The number of neutrons in the element change depending on the isotope. In the isotope Ag-107 (the most abundant isotope) there are 60 neutrons, and in Ag-109, there are 62 neutrons.
